Brief History of the Department
Origin & Year of Establishment:
The department of Mathematics was one of the first four departments started in the erstwhile post-graduate centre, Warangal of Osmania University, Hyderabad in 1967 with two faculty members. Subsequently, two more members joined the department in 1969.
Department is fortunate to have Prof.B.Viswanatham as faculty member of the Department till 1973 who produced a piece of fundamental Research work entitled " The General uniqueness theorem and successive approximations, J.Indian. Math. Soc. Vol. 16.(1952) PP 69-74, which has been a noted reference in the Literature of Differential Equations.
